When I fullscreen view an image in IrfanView, XNView, or AMP Tileviewer the shelf tabs remain visible. I have tried all 4 settings under "Always keep above other windows?" and the only one that hides the shelf tabs during a fullscreen view is "Always below other windows". I don't feel that's the setting I want to keep because the only time I want the shelf tabs hidden is during a fullscreen view. I don't know if this is a bug or if I am doing something wrong. Thanks for any help.

It's not a bug, it's a feature!

Seriously now, all the complaints before were the opposite of yours, that the Shelf or docks would disappear when you pressed WIN+D (Show Desktop). So for the docks and the Desktop modules in Winstep Xtreme, I added a setting to make them stay visible (or not) when the user presses WIN+D.

Unfortunately, I kind of missed adding that same setting to the Shelf because, as it happens with the Windows taskbar, I assumed every user would want it visible and accessible at all times.

Of course, to every rule there is an exception, and, in this case, you are the exception. I'll add that setting to the Shelf for next release.

I apologize if this came across as a complaint. It's not, just confusion over an observation. There's a lot of settings & I haven't memorized them all yet.

I don't use WIN+D, but if I did I would want my shelf to stay visible and my dock to not be visible. Not a problem really because I like my dock hidden until I need it. I do like my shelf visible & accessible at all times (except when fullscreen viewing images). Since I more or less treat it as part of the taskbar, I would like for it to hide with the taskbar when I need to fullscreen view something.

What would you call that setting anyway?
Respect fullscreen applications?
Lock shelf to taskbar?

BTW: I just tried WIN+D & I like it, I will try to remember that shortcut (I'm not that keyboard savvy). Thanks for your help.

I think the setting will be called similar to the setting in nexus:
[ ] Keep Shelf visible when pressing Win+D
