I need some advice on how to handle missing data. I am entering data from a test that is timed so there are items that the students either did not get to, or skipped. how do i code them and how do i tell the software what the code is?

I think what you want is http://www.winsteps.com (WINSTEPS & Facets Rasch Software), not http://www.winstep.net . Winstep.net is about Windows customization software.
