I just started playing with the free versions of Nexus Ultimate 11.6 and then Winstep Xtreme 11.6 yesterday. After a while with those apps, it was clear to me that Nexus Ultimate would be ample to suit my needs since I mainly wanted the sub-dock functionality. However, the version that I have customized to my liking and which is still on my system now is Winstep Xtreme (well, the dock is there, but from the Xtreme installation and not from a stand-alone Nexus Ultimate installation).

So, as I am getting ready to purchase Nexus Ultimate, my questions is this:

Is there a way to PRESERVE ALL THE CUSTOMIZATIONS I have done to the dock and sub-docks from the Winstep Xtreme installation so that I can import them when I install the purchased version of Nexus Ultimate?

P.S. I noticed the Backup button functionality in the Winstep Xtreme Preferences dialog, but I am not sure how that would work with a Nexus Ultimate stand-alone installation.

I've never tried this but I think that backups should contain separated settings for any program, so i think that when you're going to use the Xtreme backup on Nexus Ultimate, it'll just read the settings for Nexus Ultimate, ignoring the other existing settings.

No, sorry, they are stored in separate parts of the Registry.

Just to a backup of Nexus Ultimate settings into the Desktop, then import (restore) those settings into WorkShelf.

Aren't you supposed to be in some subtropical island smoking cigars?

Let's make I understand you correctly:

- I should be able to install the free version of Nexus Ultimate ON TOP of my currently customized version of Winstep Xtreme

- then go to Nexus Ultimate and create a backup to desktop

- then uninstall everything

- then install a purchased version of Nexus Ultimate

- then import the backup I created earlier?

To clarify, I don't want to keep Xtreme/WorkShelf, I want to keep the settings of the dock/sub-docks I made in my Xtreme installation and carry them over when I install my purchased version of Nexus Ultimate. Makes sense?

SOLVED: Just tested it and it worked flawlessly. :D

May I jump in here:
How do I save the Shelf setting from Ultimate - I do not see the relevant menu items in the left Mini-tab context menu:

According to Help I'm missing some items here(which may have been moved elsewhere).
The other left Minit-tab does not contain the needed items either:

Please give me a hint.
