Hi!

Winstep no longer supports an IRC channel.

I think your screen refreshing problem might have something to do with the new 'task snapshots' feature, although it is the first time I have heard of something as bad as that - buggy video drivers, perhaps? ATI is well known for this - great hardware, lousy drivers.

Anyway, you can test this out by opening WorkShelf's Shelf Icon Preferences and disabling the 'Show window snapshots' option in the Tasks Shelf section. Then open NextSTART's Tasklist and Systray Preferences and disable the 'Show Snapshots' option.

When you mention the screen refreshes every 5 seconds... is that the *whole* screen or just a specific application?

Hi Jorge, well yes buggy video drivers but tell me, is there a ( hi end )card that doesnt have crummy drivers?? ;-) so yes sure it could be, ive had one hell of a time with these drivers and just got them installed properly, dont make me tellyou how much fun it wasnt or how much time it took.
i will do as you suggest with hte snapshot thing. I have reinstalled winstep 3 in hte mean time and now workshelf is crashing. i will uninstall ns 3 and install Xtreme .
Ill keep you posted Jorge adn thanks again.

Which is a pity, since task snapshots are actually very nice... Try enabling them again when you upgrade your current video drivers to see if the problem is gone.
