Hi. I have just started using the demo, and added some items to the workshelf tabs - However now when I try to add a shortcut, a RED disable icon appears. Is there a checkbox that I have clicked accidentally preventing new shortcuts?

Maybe. Open the Shelf Properties dialog, then go to the Behavior tab. Is 'Lock icons and prevent them from being dragged' selected? If so, that's the problem.

If not, what tab type are you trying to drop shortcuts into? Not all tab types are the same, some display Shell virtual folders like Control Panel and, as it happens with the Windows Control Panel, the contents cannot be modified.
