Finally downloaded NS 3.2 (long time registered user of 2. and have a question:

My quicklaunch icons are not showing up, any idea? I have tried playing with the quicklaunch checkbox in the startbar prefs screen, to no avail.

I did use the "upgrade" install and not a clean install.

That's the problem right there. It's when NextSTART first runs that it imports the Windows Quick Launch icons into it's Quick Launch area on the startbar. This is done this way because Quick Launch items in the NextSTART startbar are not Windows shortcuts, they are really NextSTART hotspots - this enables you to do more with them than you can with simple shortcuts (which do nothing more than run a program). NextSTART Quick Launch items can run programs, internal commands, activate menus, etc... anything that a normal hotspot can do.

The best way to manually import the Windows Quick Launch items into the NextSTART's Quick Launch area on the Starbar (or indeed to add other stuff to it) is to simply use drag & drop: open the Quick Launch folder in Explorer (usually located at C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch) and drag the shortcuts in into into the Quick Launch area of the NextSTART Startbar.
