Good day, everyone!

Is there a way to make Nexus-dock bring a running program to the foreground, instead of opening another copy of it?

I'm not using "show running applications in this dock" feature, because all those additional icons eat too much space of the dock. So I just need existing shortcuts to restore currently opened windows.

I don't know about firefox, but outlook needs special argument to be added to its shortcut:

/recycle

For other programs 'Do not launch multiple sessions' option works just fine.

The 'Do not run multiple sessions' setting does the following: it checks the pathname of the shortcut you just clicked on, assumes it is an executable and extracts the filename, then compares this filename to the list of currently running processes which is updated every second or so.

If you click a shortcut which points to a document file instead of directly to an executable (a URL or HTML file, for instance), then obviously this is not going to work.

so basically you're saying it has to do with where i pointed my icons at? that would explain it. i'll test it out later today and get back to you. thanks for the fast response and help.
