is there a way i can toggle between windows and winstep. a hot key is what I am looking for.

The Winstep products just run over the top of the Windows Explorer shell so the standard shell is always running. There are internal commands that allow you to toggle Nextstart task managment and Explores, and hide and show the Explorer desk top icons.
I guess combining these two functions into one command would satisfy your needs, so that would be upto Jorge.
Until then you could assign a hotspot to carry out each function and then assign a hotkey for each function aswell.
