So I bought my copy of Winstep Xtreme last year and now for some reason it keeps coming back saying that my copy is unregistered. I have tried to reuse the same key that I received when I bought the program, however it comes back saying that the key is corrupted or invalid. I would really appreciate if I can get this fixed soon.

Well since it seems that no one is going to answer me I think I'll just renew my copy. But could someone at least tell where I actually do that? I have looked multiple times and I cannot figure out how to purchase a license renewal. Some help would be appreciated.

Undying21, ok first your key is only good for one year. you purchase the key and during that year you can upgrade to any new versions or betas that came out during that year. after the year is up any new updates / betas you will not be able to use, but your version will still be fully functional. since you said you purchased xtreme a year ago rightclick on the nextstart bar and select preferences. right there in the upper righthand corner you will see renew now.

I'm guessing it should appear here, but it doesn't. Its like it doesn't even believe its registered.

do you still have the original email that was sent to you with your key attached? if so save the key to your desktop, then double click on it. xtreme should now be registered. or you can copy it from your desktop to c:\users\public\public documents\winstep\licenses.

Already did that. It comes back saying that the key is corrupted or invalid. And no I didn't open it in notepad or anything.

I was going to purchase the WinStep Xtreme package, but after reading this forum I think I'll pass. It seems like customer service is pretty weak unless things have changed. My money is too valuable to me to gamble with it on whether or not someone will answer my inquiries. It appears no one ever answered this person's questions and there are a number of threads like this (very slow or NO response). Shame.
