Hello, I purchased Winstep Xtreme over 10 days ago and still cannot register my copy.
I sent an email to the support address 10 Days ago, and have still not received a response.
My trial version does not let me use the software anymore.
I have received the email containing the registration key (XTREME.WSXKEY), but I cannot get the key to work.
When I try to run the file, I receive an error message stating that the operation  was cancelled. I have attached a screenshot of the error message as well. I noticed there is another option to register from the "Preferences" menu, but that asks for my name and the license serial number. Is there any way for me to find out my serial number so I can register this way?
Please contact me as soon as you can so I can finally resolve this issue.
I have also attached a screenshot of the error message I keep getting when I try to open the registration file.

first pm jorge / winstep here with all the info for your purchase. second make sure winstep is closed out completely the click or double click your key. third there are no out and out licenses numbers to enter.

Something tells me that your problem is not the licence key itself, but some other restriction in the user privileges of your computer.
Perhaps log in using an admin account and try again?
Alternatively, in the e-mail there should be instructions to copy the key file manually?

Registering your copy of Winstep software could not be easier: no need to type in or copy/paste a serial number, you just double click a license key and all is automatically done for you.

The error message on your computer says it all. Some setting specific to your PC is preventing a normal operation from being carried out - this will give you problems with other applications as well if you don't change it.

My suggestion is that you look-up the possible cause through THIS Google search.

To solve your problem manually:

1) Open WorkShelf or NextSTART Preferences.

2) Go to the Registrations tab.

3) Click on the 'Open Folder' button to open the Licenses folder.

4) Delete all files in this folder.

5) Save the Xtreme.wsxkey attached to your license key email to this folder.

6) Rename it to Xtreme.key

7) Click the Register button in the Registrations tab of either WorkShelf or NextSTART Preferences.

Hope this helps,
