I hadn't been through the box since we moved 15 years ago. Decided it was time to clean it out. Found this little cheat sheet I made to keep track of who was who in IRC Chat. How many of these folks do YOU remember?

Bloody hell! That sure brings back memories. :)

There's even a 'third' Ric, who I don't recognise though. Those were the days though! Does anybody still use IRC? Does it even still exist>? Used to be a fun and useful thing really, one of the better things t'internet offered. Especially in the early days, before the "Great Unwashed" were let loose. ;) Back in the day, there used to be some really good Amiga and NeXT channels about, as well as Solaris ones from which I picked up a hell of a lot of first class help with setting up networking and t'internet on that OS in the beginning. A little later it became very important in the very earliest days of NextSTART and then Winstep. :)

Oh my gosh! lol...what a trip! I'm really happy with DesertDwarf as my identity nowadays, but I often wonder how many connections I've lost because I don't use Lighty anymore. *Sigh*

Thanks for sharing! This was awesome and really brought a smile to my face.

Oh! So that was *you*! LOL! Bang goes my theory of a third Ric. I see I was Earl in those days - a nickname I got on account of my addiction to Earl Grey tea. ;) So we met before then Ric! :)
