Well, it looks like 8K TVs are here already, even sooner than I expected. Unless that was a whole series of print errors that I saw on one retailers site the other day, that is. I don't really see much point in that, given that there are still precious few 4K channels available in this country (UK) let alone anything higher, and also even 4K makes virtually no difference to the experience even on a large 80+ in. display. As monitors of course it makes a lot more sense. Especially if you work a lot with GFX and photographs in extremely high resolutions. (Of course, the movie industry had 8k monitors yonks ago already.) |
