1. When my screen-saver comes on, the background image remains on the screen! What the heck. I've not found a solution or reason.

2. What happened to Windows "title bars"? For example, when I open Windows Explorer, its title does not appear in the title bar. Same for some other windows.

Any insight would be appreciated.

1. If the background image remains on the screen, how do you know your screen saver is running? :?

2. Did you change something or are you running WindowBlinds, for instance? That's not normal behavior for Windows 7.

1. My screen-saver is "bubbles". I can see the bubbles floating on top of the background image. This is crazy. Defeats the ss purpose.

2. Neither. I just did a search & evidently neither Vista nor Windows 7 shows a title in the Title Bar of Explorer (& a few others) but does show a title in some other programs. Don't tell me you see a title in Explorer!!!!!!!

1. That is how the bubbles screensaver works in Windows 7. I like it, and also use it - and remember, there are so many bubbles floating around that every pixel soon gets refreshed. You only have a 'burn in' problem if specific pixels remain at the same level of intensity for a looooong period of time.

Anyway, I also enabled the monitor power saving abilities, so, after a little while of running the screen saver, all monitors go into stand-by.

2. Ah, right, only the Explorer windows. Too true, but you have the path to the folder displayed right below the titlebar.

1. The bubbles are not the issue. It's the background image which remains on the screen. Those pixels are getting burned in. I just don't get it!

You can change the screen saver settings by using the following:

For some reason, M$ left out the ability to change them in Win 7.

Hope it helps,

Turns out that "Bubbles" is the only SS to behave "badly" !

At least it gives you some options. I set mine to a black background so the majority of the screen gets a rest.
