I don't see a place to sign-in except on the "Board Index" page. Usually there is a sign-in box on every page. Maybe I can't see the forest for the trees. It'll probably bite me in the butt.
Also, there's usually a way to PM someone by clicking on their name or avatar. I don't seem to be able to do that either.
Maybe it's senility.

I'm no PHPBB3 expert (although I did have to learn a few things in order to make changes to this forum) but that type of functionality depends on the forum Style and the original PHPBB3 style in which it was based (ProSilver or SubSilver).

For instance, I just changed the code so you can now click a user's Avatar to go to his profile page - from there you can PM him. There are also PM buttons in the message body itself.

As for the login being available in every page, there is no need for that: as soon as you try to make any action that requires you to be logged in, the forum will ask you to authenticate yourself.
