As you know I've been taking care of my dad at home. Unfortunately, he just passed away about 20 mins ago. I'll try to hang in there. It's been a tough year dealing with his illness. I knew he hadn't been doing well the past 2 days. For the last 2 days his blood sugar hovered around 240. He never had an issue with his breathing, but all of a sudden he had labored breathing. He lasted only a couple of hours after that. I have to sign-off now, the nurse is here and have to speak with her, |

I don't know your personal beliefs, but let's hope all our loved ones, when they leave this mortal coil, go to a better place, where there's no ground for pain and unhappiness. And I'm personally certain that they're somehow watching over us who loved them. May you live long to keep his memory alive, Windy. |

Thank you very much Skagon and Jorge. Your condolences are greatly appreciated. I've been very busy making the arrangements for his funeral, making and taking calls etc. I'll be gone for a while because the funeral will be on the other side of the country where his plot is along with most of family and friends. Fortunately they will be able to pay their respects to him via the ceremony and viewing. In case you're wondering, I'm doing okay, but my mom not so well. She's having a much harder time dealing with it than I am. Posting here helps me deal with it knowing that there are people you've only conversed with via a computer actually care. Thanks again for your concern and if I get the chance I'll check back here before I leave in 5 days or so. |
