Something else on a whim: do you have Logitech's Setpoint installed on your system? If so, try exiting it for a while to see if the problem persists.

Yes I do have Setpoint & I did exit it, no effect I'm afraid to say. Please see attached image for focus test details.

Wow. Seems to be the Desktop modules grabbing focus! WTH?

For a quick experiment, close all your desktop modules (right click one of them -> Desktop Modules -> Close All Modules) and try again.

Also, really need to know now if the games change your native (desktop) screen resolution or not.

The resolution does change from my desktop setting depending on the game.

I did as you said & closed all the modules & tried opening Bad Company 2 and it opened with no issue.

Then I only activated the clock module & again tried opening Bad Company 2 and the game again lost focus, it would seem the modules are causing this issue for me.

Nexus dock runs in the background without affecting the full screen games.

I changed the code a bit - it doesn't fix the root cause of the problem (which apparently is WorkShelf not identifying the game as a full screen window) but it will prevent the Desktop modules from grabbing focus on a screen resolution change.
