I just purchased Winstep Nexus Ultimate for my PC (running Win 8.1, 64 bit).

I have pretty much configured it exactly as I like except for the sub-docks. Those, I have not been able to figure out how to modify. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So you know, what I am trying to do is set the sub-docks to expand horizontally rather than vertically, as they do now. I'm also hoping there will be other options, i.e. changing the background of the sub-docks, other ways to expand them (other than horizontal or vertical), etc. But for now, I would love to at least have them expand horizontally.

Again, any help from the community is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Open the Dock Properties panel for the dock whose sub-dock behavior you are trying to change (i.e.; right click dock control icon -> select Dock Properties) then go to the Behavior tab.

Click the Sub-Docks button. In the dialog that pops up, you will find several options related to sub-docks, including how they open and what opening animation to use.

You cannot change the theme/background of a sub-dock, however, it will always be the same as the parent dock.

I'm not sure how I missed that, but clearly I did. Thank you very much. Worked like a charm! :-)

The software is very configurable, so lots of options to find and play with. ;-)

Guess that is part of the fun. :)
