This issue has two parts.

1. The Attention effect is not activating when a task that has been pinned to the doc receives a notification (such as an instant message when the window is minimized). To be clear, this happens when the 'Group Similar Windows into a Single Icon" is selected in the Tasks menu.

2. When "Group Similar Windows Together" is selected, the attention effect sometimes occurs, but never for the correct task. For example, when an outlook reminder popup occurs behind another window, the Excel task starts animating in the attention effect, instead of the Outlook icon.

If theres a way to activate the attention effect on notification for Tasks grouped into a single icon, whether pinned to the dock, or as a running application, that would be ideal, but may be more of a feature request. In the meantime a fix to the incorrect icon attention effect (issue #2) would be appreciated.

Thanks for the bug report, fixed it for next release.

Both issues had the same root cause, the new 'combine dock icons with running applications' setting. Sometimes you add a new feature but forget about all the things that are affected by it.

I've added both these issues to the post detailing problems in v15.9.

The next release is still some time off (currently focusing on making the Winstep Themes Builder), but I suppose I could release a beta in the mean time.

Are you using the free version of Nexus or Nexus Ultimate?
