Looking for a way to change or disable the subdock's indicator. Couldn't find a solution. Is there a way to define certain bitmaps?

No, and this is by design, because some theme authors tend to totally obscure the function of a given indicator: for instance, some shelf themes use faceless round icons for scroll arrows. It is important that the sub-dock indicators remain arrows for the sake of the user, since, among other things, they point in which direction a sub-dock will open.

That's not to say that perhaps there shouldn't be some way to set a particular color range in a future release, of course.
