Second public beta of v18.8 released.

This fixes all the issues reported for the first beta (including those that could lead to loss of content in the Shelves).

It also adds a new 'Check Dock and Shelves Integrity' button to the Troubleshooting Options dialog in the Advanced tab of Preferences. Give it a try and let me know if it finds anything - if it does, it will give you an option to correct those errors.

Needless to say, make a backup of your settings before you tell it to correct anything.

You can now also drag a closed drawer by the tab to reposition it on a screen edge without having to open it first.

Not yet! :P

79 orphaned
33 recursive
5 cross-linked

All cleaned out nicely without incident. :)

Good stuff!

LOL!

Ric takes the crown straight from from Vlad's hands! :)

Most of the orphaned docks (except in Ric's case) were because of not cleaning up in-Shelf docks properly when deleting whole tabs. This could in turn generate the recursive sub-docks as the pointers in the 'orphan' docks were no longer being updated.

Not good but not serious either, as the orphans would simply be sitting there taking up space.

In Ric's case most of the orphan's came from the bug he reported (and I fixed already) of sub-docks disappearing if instead of clicking the sub-dock arrow pointer you accidentally dragged it.

Anyway, I combed the whole code for situations that could potentially cause orphaned sub-docks and (hopefully) fixed them all, so it shouldn't happen again. Of course, if it does please report it immediately.

No sign of anything like that happening again since you fixed it Jorge, no matter how hard I've been trying. :)

After the latest beta, I have noticed that delete animation for docks is stuck on explode. The UI shows the selected animation, but when you delete something from the dock, you get the explode animation. Made a new test dock and no change.
Does this happen to others also?

Gotcha! Only when deleting by dragging to the Recycle Bin, right? If you right click and select 'Remove from Dock' it plays the correct animation?

Fixed. Actually what you were seeing was BOTH effects playing at the same time (the explosion and whatever you had selected as the delete effect)

Jorge, I think I've come across a new though minor prob with this latest pubic beta.

The in-shelf/-dock's analogue clock's hands colours - despite the 'use default' setting - don't seem to get remembered in a theme I'm currently working on.

Also, the text colour - although correctly defined in the .wsm file - of the DT CPU mod keeps reverting to that of the previous theme. (Everywhere else the correct text colour is kept.)

Can you please provide detailed examples of how to reproduce, Ric? My mind has been a bit mush these last few days.
