Hey guys,

using Winstep Extreme 18.12. on Windows 10 here.

After booting into windows or switching the windows user, the second dock (which is supposed to be on my secondary monitor) always snaps to my primary monitor; so i've to restart Winstep Extreme every time. Both monitors are connected via Display Port.

Is there any way to prevent this?

Thank you and best regards!

Marc

Can you please check if both monitors use the same DPI settings (i.e.; both at 100% DPI or both at 125% DPI) ?

Thank you for the quick answer!

Are you talking about this windows 10 setting? Theyre both the same for both monitors.

Yes.

Ok, so that's not it.

Check

C:\Users\Public\Documents\WinStep\Profiles\

How many files do you have there? Can you attach them to a post here, please?

Hey, I got three *.ini files in the folder you were talking about.

See if disabling the monitor profiles in WorkShelf Preferences -> General tab -> Misc.Options -> Disable multi-monitor profiles.

I think it will - it's a new feature introduced in v18.12 and it seems like it might not yet be working as intended.

Tried this settings, but the problem still occurs when I switch the windows users:

Does that mean it no longer occurs when you reboot?

Also, Winstep settings are stored *per user*. This means you will have to disable that setting for *each* of the users on your system. Likewise to positioning the dock.
