Sometimes Winshelf does not auto close/collapse after clicking an item. Is there a setting to auto close winshelf after a few seconds it has been open?

That might happen if, previously to launching that application, you *manually* expand the Shelf by clicking on the right mini-tab instead of on a tab. This behavior is by design (since keeping the Shelf open is a useful function at times) and makes the Shelf stay open until you manually click the right mini-tab again to collapse it.

There is also a setting in Shelf Properties -> Behavior tab -> Auto-Hide Settings dialog that prevents the Shelf from auto-collapsing until you click on another application (i.e.; another application has the focus). In this same dialog you will find plenty of other settings related to the auto-hide function.

Well, I checked and I already have auto close settings configured. I clicked on the shelf tab to expand and not the mini-tab on the far right when the issue happened, so I'm not sure why it happened. I will let you know if it happens again (happens randomly).

Try to find a pattern, a way to reproduce it consistently.
