No, some or even a lot of us do not - do not make such assumptions. And use titles that actually say and mean something. On a fully moderated forum a moderator or admin would already have deleted your post, inc. on every other forum I use.

Oh, well I'm sorry, I was under the impression that absolutely everyone here is waiting for the same thing I am - the next version

Why would you need a new version?

There you go again, assuming. You know what happens when you assume, don't you? Yeah, exactly.

You should never, ever make assumptions when posting in any forums, whether in Winstep ones or anywhere else. They are generally not well received by both other users and staff. About the only assumptions that are reasonable is to assume that, e.g., nobody else knows what the hell you're talking about, or that there are a lot of folks there who are still newbies and need to have things made clear and easy to understand.

Bear that in mind and your posts will be much better received.

Remember you can get the beta of the latest version (v20.x) by checking the appropriate setting in the Advanced tab of Preferences and then checking for updates.

Official release... soon, but the beta is pretty much feature complete.

No, some of us are waiting for that which must not be named for fear of delaying it another 7 years.

I just renewed, checked my settings and restarted but I get nothing about any available beta when checking for updates. Windows 10 - 1909. According to Workshelf I'm on version 19.2.

Heh? That's a new one.

Can you please restart Winstep Xtreme, manually check for updates again (making sure that 'notify of betas...' is checked), go to the About tab of Preferences, click on the version number in the top right corner, and post a screenshot of the Version Information dialog that pops up?

OK. Exited, restarted PC, checked firewall settings (just in case). Beta and updates are checked as before and this is what I get:
