Improved Badge Count Support
We’ve revamped our the underlying implementation and add official badge count support for many popular apps, including Discord, Gmail, Messenger and more.

We also opened up the badge count API so everyone can write custom scripts to support their favorite apps. You can also contribute your scripts to the open-source code of WebCatalog.

So - Jorge - it's time for Winstep to implement this functionality so we can get proper badge counts :)

We'll know the answer when Jorge returns.

And.... Just WTF are badge counts?

A badge is that overlay circle with a number that appears on top of an app icon on a dock or taskbar. For example, an email app's icon might show a badge count of unread emails or a calendar app icon might show a badge count of events for that day. An app store icon might show a badge count of apps that need updates. That's the general idea.

Ah right, thanks. :) Don't use any of those, thank goodness. Only secure online email, no calendar, and definitely no vile app store. :8
