I am not trying to throw anything else into the mix but that DISM message is quite concerning, disturbing actually.

OK SFC scans installed files and looks for any corruptions which is why you run it first.

DISM bases its entire repair on (in this command line case) an Online Windows image to repair. If it says it cannot find it - I do not even want to trouble you - First things first - Let Jorge see if there is a fix from his end then go to Microsoft.

Apologies, been busy with other stuff.

I just tried your backup file here.

This *might* be related to items on the dock pointing to shortcuts (.lnk) files (e.g. Canva.lnk). Since I don't have those shortcuts here I cannot be sure.

What I find strange is you having items in the dock pointing to the original source shortcuts (original .lnk files) rather than the target file itself. I'm saying this because if you drag & drop a shortcut from, say, the Windows Start Menu into the dock, Nexus will normally resolve the shortcut first so that the dock item points to the target file rather than the shortcut itself.

Although this is what should happen, you have a bunch of shortcut items in the dock (e.g. Canvas.lnk, Dev-C++.lnk, Steam.lnk, EA.lnk). I find this rather concerning.

Since you already have a backup, try removing all the items pointing to shortcuts (e.g. .lnk files) from the dock, and see if that solves the Access Violation error at startup). Then try dragging them from the Windows Start Menu into the dock again - see if the shortcuts are properly resolved this time. Either way, please let me know.

Also, what language is your version of Windows?

I'm not sure how to explain it better.

Is this a language barrier problem (e.g. are you Chinese having a hard time understanding the English language) ? Or you just don't understand my instructions?

If you are Chinese, is your Windows version in Chinese (it doesn't seem to be, however) or English?
