This was the version that I prefered ;) More natural.

Please try to use the exact Winstep terminology when describing these issues, especially when distinguishing between Shelves and Grid Stacks. Above I assume that when you say the ‘Shelf’ becomes giant you actually mean the temporary Grid Stack, since the setting you changed is ‘Grid Stack Scaling’. If that assumption is wrong, then I would be investigating a completely different problem.

Sorry for the wording. I was talking about these options but I think you figured it out in the end. So far, "grid stack scaling"should not be shared indeed due to difference in dpi in multi monitors setup.

Can you please make a backup of your settings (Preferences -> Backup) and send it over to the Winstep support address... see if I can reproduce it here.

This is an example how such a simple request can sometimes evolve into a much more complex thingy lol

Thanks, did not really help... Pretty sure it is related to the different DPIs of your monitor, and so I cannot reproduce here even with your Winstep settings.

Questions (all important):

1. What was the screen DPI of the monitor where the video was taken?
2. Was that the Primary monitor?
3. What are the DPIs and screen resolutions of all your monitors?
4. Does this happen when opening the folder as a Grid Stack from all three Shelves, or only from the Shelf on a particular monitor?

If possible, please test the same folder from each monitor and say which ones exhibit the double appearance.

In the end, I start to find this strange behaviour funny ahah

More seriously, here is the details of my config:

Monitor1
= Built-in Screen
= 2560x1600 on 11", around 274 dpi

Monitor2 (Primary)
= external monitor on dock
= 2560x1440 on 24", around 122dpi

Monitor3
=external monitor on the same dock as monitor2
=1920x1080 on 24", around 92 dpi

The issue occurs on monitor1 and monitor3
Same duplicated shelf on all monitors.
I tested the same folders.

When using only the monitor1 (built-in screen) and nothing else, I dont have the issue.
When using all monitors but setting monitor3 as primary display, issue is solved on monitor3 and appears on the other two.

Conclusion: the issue does not appear on "primary display". Only secondy displays have it.

Thanks for the information, we can already see a pattern. :D However, by DPI I meant the **Windows display scaling setting**, not the physical pixel density calculated from the monitor’s size and resolution.

Please open **Windows Settings > System > Display**, select each monitor in turn, and tell me the value shown under **Scale**, for example:

* Monitor 1: 200%
* Monitor 2: 125%
* Monitor 3: 100%

These are the values I need to diagnose the problem.

Monitor1 (built-in): 200%

Monitor2 (24 wqhd): 125%

Monitor3 (24 fhd): 100%

Please let me know if the new beta fixes the rogue animation when opening a Grid Stack on a secondary monitor:

Hey Danny.... so?

Did the new beta fix the "A bigger title appears first in the tab before showing the final UI I defined via all the options" issue?

Inquiring minds REALLY need to know :D
