I had to add a new `TabBodyOverlap` theme setting so the tabs can overlap the Shelf body by a specified number of pixels, as well as make a few other adjustments to the theme engine. While doing that, I also found and fixed the mini-tab width bug I mentioned above.

I now have a complete working example theme, so yes, please feel free to step back from this one. Your experiments still helped expose some of the limitations and clarify what the theme format needed.

As a side-note...
I thought I'd mention, I know the lighter pastel colors 'seem' like they cannot be made flatter or more vibrant, especially if they have a glow or texture, but they can. You already use 'Colorize' in a couple of things. I personally found it is the combination of usage of saturation and luminosity/lightness that makes it vibrant. In this case 'De-saturation' because the primary color is white in pastels.
So the method I use is Colorize / De-Saturate / darken / re-saturate.

Here is the workshelf and tabs you mentioned were too light made vibrant. So maybe consider upping the saturation and de-saturation if that is possible in the user controls? You can also change light grey if dome properly.

Thanks, Andrew. Yes, saturation and luminosity adjustments can certainly make manually edited artwork more vibrant. In this case, however, the additional setting I mentioned was required to control the physical overlap between the tabs and Shelf body, not the color intensity.

The runtime tab colorization system already allows users to select anything from muted pastel colors to fully saturated colors, with the selected colors applied dynamically to individual tabs and, optionally, the Shelf body. Adding separate saturation and luminosity controls would complicate the interface and could produce unpredictable results with existing theme artwork, so I think the current color selector and colorization methods provide enough control.

If you have all those controls then they cannot complain
