Hello,

I am new to Xtreme and was wondering if I can leave NextStart Disk detached onto my desktop. It removes itself every time I reboot.

Errr... not sure I understand. What are you calling 'NextSTART disk' to?

When I press the start button to access my programs, network etc., I am able to click on disk which gives me access to my drives and also lets me eject my cd-rom among other things. I can drag that section onto the desktop which makes my use one step less. However, if I right click on it when its attached to the desktop or when I reboot the computer, it disappears. I would like to keep it permanently showing on the desktop. Sorry that I wasn't clear. I posted it late last night.

Ah, got it.

Go to the Hotspots tab in NextSTART Preferences, create a new hotspot, set it to 'Display a menu built with the menu editor', enable the 'Perform this action when NextSTART runs', select an activation method (can be hotkey only), click Next, select the 'Disk' menu, click Next, un-select 'pop up this menu next to the mouse pointer', choose 'Keep the parent menu open and close all child menus', click Finish.

Activate the hotspot, drag the menu to where you want it, and voila! From then on, every time you start NextSTART the menu should automatically appear at the position you dragged it too.
