jorge,

i have asked about this in the past, shortly after you released the first of the last 2 themes. in the image below you will notice that you can view the desktop below workshelf. in previous versions of xtreme i could fix it so there was no offset from the bottom edge. i cannot find a way to get rid of it in 11.6. am i just missing seeing it?

Jorge I guess you forgot about this question. Since I'm bumping it I have a couple of other questions.

I asked awhile back about possibly having open folder in the rightclick menu of shelf tab titles/names. The second one is on WorkShelf the tab names are all 9 letters or less any more than 9 and I get say "WinStep ..." instead of "WinStep Themes". This is fine since I came up with names for the tabs that are 9 letters or less. for example "WinStep Themes" simply became "WinStep". the problem I have is that I just added a tab for the drive that has backups of all my other drivers. I named it "Universal". After I did this though the "Downloads" tab which is 9 letters started showing "Downloa...". I wanted to know if you knew why this was happening, and if you know of a way to fix it? Just to see if it would revert back I removed the "Universal" tab and it still stayed "Downloa...".

Krazd, I don't have that theme here, but my guess is that the bottom of the Shelf background image itself (wsBody.png) has the gap. WorkShelf has no way of knowing (or rather, it doesn't need to know) if the bottom of a Shelf was made completely transparent by the skinner or not.

As for the tab names, the width of each tab, for a 'Full Shelf Width' tab alignment, is calculated by dividing the available space by the number of tabs (i.e.; each tab has the same width).

If the full text of a tab does not fit in the allocated space, it is cropped with '...' added to the end. This said, you run into a minor bug: to save on CPU processing time, the cropped text version is used from then on, which explains why you still got the '...' even after deleting the new tab you had just created.

Re-starting WorkShelf would have fixed that.

jorge on restarting workshelf after deleting the universal tab wasn't working, but i hadn't tried it since i had to do a sfc /scannow. just tried restarting workshelf and this time it took, so looks like one of the files scf replaced fixed what was wrong. as for the offset or transparency on the bottom of the shelf it is another reason to remove the ability of the themer to use transparency from the skin creator and leave it up to the theme user, or at least it impossible to use transparency outside of the skin like that. now do you plan in the future to add open folder when a user rightclicks the shelf tab title?

thanks for the info and help.
