I have seen this happen for only one Application and is mildly annoying. I am running the Beta version (11.12) on WinStep Xtreme.

I connect to my work network using Citrix and run some Apps via that. Here are 2 screenshots showing what shows up on my Windows Taskbar vs Nexstart TaskBar. The same Application does not show up with the 'Show Running Applications' in the Dock either (guessing they both use the same code).

It does show up fine in Object Dock though (I bought it last year and stopped using it once I got Xtreme).

What do you think Jorge?

Whether a windows appears in the NextSTART taskbar or not is decided by following the old Windows rules. Unfortunately, as Raymond Chen points out, it seems like the ITaskbarList interface muddies this up a bit.

You're probably seeing the result of that.

I do not believe it is the same issue.

- The Window in question does show up in the standard Windows Taskbar. That is never a problem.
- Window shows up when I hit Alt-Tab. This is never a problem.
- Window also shows up in Object Dock Plus.

Its not a disappearing button/tab issue. It just never shows up as a Running Application in NexStart or the dock.

Thanks.

Of course not, if the taskbar itself is home to the ITaskbarList interface.

The rules for displaying applications in the Alt-Tab list are different from the rules for displaying applications in the taskbar.

I have no idea what ObjectDock Plus uses to determine which applications to display.

I don't have Citrix here, so I can't look at the terminal window myself. Do you know how to get a window's extended style bits or have a tool that can do it there?

In the Windows taskbar the SIS UC4 terminal window is grouped together with the +Support window. This means both windows belong to the same application.

My guess is that this is exactly what happens with multiple tabs in an IE or other browser: the Windows taskbar displays the separate tabs individually, the NextSTART taskbar only displays the current tab.

I am not sure how to do this. If there is a tool I can use, I would be more than happy to try.

Correct. Infact there are several other applications I open on Citrix which show up the same way. MS Word, Notepad++, Windows File Explorer, etc all in the same group.

Not to beat a dead horse here but do you have any suggestions on this?

I am not quite sure on how to get a window's extended style bits or have a tool that can do it here but if you could point me to a site or give hints/instructions I can go ahead and give it a shot.

Thanks.
