Hi again Jorge, while dealing with the Menu thing I remembered to ask about this.

Is there a way to allow a folder to open via the Menu by double-clicking instead of having to right-click and navigate to Open?

I set my mouse to open folders with one click via Windows. Much more efficient and decreases wear and tear on your mouse and finger! :D
Open any folder > Tools > Folder Options > Single-click to open an item. I also enabled Underline icon titles only when I point to them.

My non-default Menu settings are: Always keep this menu above other windows, and Keep all menus open.

You're not going to believe this! I found how to do it by accident while composing this post. I figured out why I couldn't do it until now.

When the Menu is open I noticed that as long as the text stays bright (white for my theme), I can double-click to open a folder. The issue is that it only stays bright for a millisecond once I place my cursor on a folder.

Is there a way to lengthen the time the text stays bright? Otherwise, I have to move like lightning to navigate to a folder which is very difficult because I have a ton of folders and several Menu columns which you can see in my video.

This will also help me better to see the names of my folders without having to constantly click the Menu Title Bar to reset the brightness of the text while navigating through the Menu.

Hi Jorge, I didn't get an answer concerning my question.

I know there are many settings in Xtreme that allow for speeding up or delaying certain functions, (like the Behavior tab in WorkShelf) so I'm hoping there is such a setting that will lengthen the time the cursor can hover on a folder within a context menu before the text goes dark and will allow double-clicking to open the folder.

Jorge, after fiddling around a bit I found a VERY simple workaround. Instead of going through the headache of clicking on the Menu Title Bar and then playing cat and mouse trying to double-click to open the folder because the font turns dark preventing double-click opening, just left click the folder after the font turns dark. That simple action resets and locks the brightness of the font so the folder can now be easily opened by double-click.

As long as the cursor is left anywhere on the same line as the clicked folder, the font will not turn dark again so it alleviates the issue I had with it.

Of course, if the cursor is moved to another folder it will turn dark and then you will have to left-click the folder again to turn it bright.

For anyone that is not familiar with this, the reason the font turns dark is because there is an arrow that points to the sub-menu which is where the contents of the folder is. The font for the sub-menu is bright obviously allowing one to see the contents of the folder.

Thanks! However, you don't have to be fast anymore.

1. Just hover the cursor anywhere on the folder/row/line and simply and importantly, let the font turn dark (which only takes a millisecond).

2. Left-click on that same folder/row/line.

As stated earlier, the font will not turn dark again (unless you move the cursor off of that folder/row/line) so now you can wait a year before double-clicking to open and it won't matter. No quickness needed since the left-click action locks the brightness of the font.

3. Double left-click to open the folder.

Try it and let me know if it works.

P.S. I even did a slower-than-normal double left-click and it still worked. Of course if it's too slow, (which wouldn't be a double left-click but two left-clicks) it obviously will not work.

You can open folders in NextSTART menus by triple-clicking the item. :P

Chucky, I'm sure by now you must have tried it and found out it isn't!

At first it sounds a little wacky , but actually it works better than the method I came up with.

Actually double-clicking should be enough, but, for various timing reasons, a quick triple click works 100% of the time while the double click might not. That feature has been there since the very early beginnings of NextSTART. :)
