enjoying the customization available!
because I like being able to minimize the flashing lights.
I've disabled sounds, visual effect to zoom, reduced space between icons.

two questions:
as I add items to the dock, the items are shrinking. I have the dock on the left.
how to resize the dock to maintain icon size?

and

using the brisa theme for the small border around the dock. prefer a lighter background but preferences>themes>colorize background only changes border color. how to change background color? I looked at the "get more themes" button but I want less effects, not more.

Right-click an icon on the Dock > Nexus > Appearance and Sounds > Dock Icon Size




As far as this, Jorge or someone else will have to help you out.

Docks by definition do not have scroll buttons, so if you start adding more items than will fit on the screen at the pre-set icon size, the dock will automatically reduce visible icon size so the dock doesn't grow off-screen.

You can do as Windy said, set the dock to horizontal where there is more space to grow than vertically, disable ore reduce the size of icon reflections, or upgrade to Nexus Ultimate/Winstep Xtreme.

Under Nexus Ultimate you can have as many docks as you want and you can categorize items into sub-docks.



The colorize function does not change the color of pure black - that is just how the algorithm works. You can still customize/change the original bitmaps of that theme in Photoshop, for instance: open Nexus Preferences, go to the Themes tab, click the Open Folder button, look for the nxBack.png bitmap, change the color of that bitmap in Photoshop, switch to a different theme in Nexus and then back to refresh.

The 'Get More Themes' button does not have anything to do with effects, it only takes you to a page from where you can download hundreds/thousands of other Nexus or Nexus-compatible dock backgrounds.
