Right now I've been using RocketDock which is a pain, I've got to get rid of it. On my work machine I've also been ruining object dock with Nexus running on my laptop.
To sum it up..
Laptop; Nexus and Rocket Dock
Desktop; Object Dock and Rocket Dock
What a cluttered mess.
This is all because of one feature that I'm hoping Nexus supports and Object Dock got rid of.
What I want to do is be able to drag files to an application icon on nexus to open it.

:::EXAMPLE:::

I have a Zip file full of images, normally it's default application is 7zip, but by dragging it to my CDisplayEx shortcut on nexus I could open it in CDisplayEx instead.

Another

An image file, normally my images open with Irfanview by default but I drag it over to a photoshop icon on the dock to open the image in photoshop.

Is this possible or do I need to keep looking? This feature is the only reason I still use rocket dock

I look for while on the forums and didn't see any conversation related to this kind of operation so I'm sorry if it's been discussed before.

Well holy heck for what ever reason when I tried it it would give me the circle with a line through it and didn't work. I rebooted the application and re did the application shortcuts to be from their respective program folders just for good measure and it works now. Awesome I can finally cut some of the fat and use only nexus.
thank you so much.

Yep, works like a charm! I'm using Xtreme, but I assume Nexus will work just the same. I too have Irfanview as my default to view pics. I dragged an image to the Paint.net icon on the Dock and it worked so you shouldn't have any problems using a Winstep product instead of the others.

I just installed Nexus today on my desktop and yesterday on my laptop, going to give it a try for a quite a while to see how well it works. I'm really hoping this is the do all end all desktop bar. I'll probably end up getting the multi bar version if it proves to be because having multiple versions is just stupid.

Thanks guys.

I'm not sure which one of the Winstep products you're referring to, but if the difference in price isn't an issue I recommend you purchase Winstep Xtreme.

One important thing you must know, hang in there and don't get frustrated or discouraged. It has A LOT of features so it will take some time before you can take full advantage of them. :)
