Hey all, I just purchased a copy of Winstep Xtreme and did not receive any email with a download link. How long does it usually take for the server to reply with the download link ? It's been about an hour.

Unfortunately serials aren't automagically generated by the server, and the person who has to create and send you the product key fell off the face of the planet several months ago (see, well, pretty much every thread in this forum for the past several months that isn't kitchen supply spam).

It's a real pity - Winstep's a great product, and if keys were actually going out to new purchasers I'd still recommend it buying it despite the apparent halt in development (it's stable and it does what I want it to, so barring a future Windows patch breaking something I'm not much fussed if the current version is never updated). As it is, a lot of people have said they've waited weeks or months for product keys before giving up. I'd recommend waiting a week or so and if you haven't gotten a product key by then contacting BMT Micro about getting your money back.

So I just wasted the money, or have been scammed sort to say. If no keys are sent out then the product shouldn't be sold online anymore. What a shame.

As far as I know, keys ARE being sent out on a daily basis; as indicated in the purchase form, you should allow 48 hours for delivery, even though most keys are sent in less than 12.
So, you should already have received your licence key.
Scammed? I don't think so. You do get what you paid for.

Been a long time since I have used Winstep but dispite the reports of people not getting the registration key they had paid for I thought I would go ahead anyhow and buy a new licence. I received my new key in less than 12 hours after purchase. So I confirm what skagon posted, licences are being sent out.

It had gone into my junk mail so may be that is the problem some people are having, over enthusiastic spam filters either in their email client or perhaps from their ISP.
