Hi,

Could anyone please clarify how to solve this issue, I didn't find any option in the actual settings so I had to dig in the config files of themes, trying to change it but was not successful.

Here's the actual issue in pictures to make it more easier to understand.

Please help me solve it.
I want to be able to create comfortable themes for NextStart.

Looking forward for your reply.
Sincerely Yours, Andrew

That's actually a good question.
I do apologise but I don't have an answer for you. I'm not even sure it can be done.
I'll try to find some time and look into it, but I can't promise anything. If any of the other theme creators in here can answer, by all means, please do.

This is really pitty noone is interested to help, I also did send an email to winstep support before creating this thread and so far noone replied as well.

I guess I do have to give up on winstep and all its products, I almost cracked my head trying to solve it myself but was not successful, probly its somewhere in registry not in those config files, either way I dont have those debugging skills to backtrace it.

Another big issue I noticed was those hotspots, its impossible to anchor them when u chose specified place on your screen. So eventually you will end up miss-clicking and dragging those hot spots from place to place WHICH IS SO MUCH ANNOYING.
I mean this is such a basic windows sidebar stuff, just cloning windows panels, lets say I am shocked its not implemented. This shudav been done in the first place rather than creating most of those useless fancy icon decorations.

Either way, I doubt the actual support will read this, maybe by the year of 2016th or something Ill check back your product again.

Good Bye...

Well, I can't answer for anyone else, but I can't answer for things that I don't normally use. Given that I don't use the NextStart bar or the Hotspots, I can't answer.
About the quick-launch icons, if you've checked all the theme settings and it's not there, then like I said before, it can't be done.
It's a good thing to try different themes. If the icon padding is the same for all themes, that means that in all probability it's hard-coded and can't change.

About the other things you said, that is your opinion. If you could understand that, you wouldn't be whining. What is important to you, could be irrelevant to someone else, and what you think is useless, could be essential to someone else. The fact that the programmer of Winstep chose to do one thing and not another, probably means that there were people asking for one, and/or not enough people requesting the other.

Again, if you want to "give up on Winstep and all its products" because... the icons have 3 or 4 extra pixels of padding... heh... that's your choice.
I find it quite funny, actually.
Mainly because it reminds me of another, extremely similar, user we had here some months before, who was basically saying the same things.
Cheers mate! See you in 2016 (or something)...

I'm not sure if this will help, but read this thread starting at Fri May 31. 2013. I added this to aid in preventing the sort of frustration you're experiencing.
