sub dock icon animation/slideshow

is there a way to set a subdock to display the icons within the subdock, and change the icon say every 0.5second to the next icon in the subdock, etc

because i now have around 8 subdocks next to each other, and its hard to distinguish which is which without hovering the mouse to read the name of the subdock

No, but you can simply change each subdock's icon to an icon/image that reflects its contents: right click the sub-dock icon -> Dock Entry Properties -> Change Icon.

also talking about icons, i mentioned caching to you before, but i think you did something different with this version of the software, i remember when i was on the trial software v14 i had external hdd shortcuts on the dock, but if i boot up windows without the external hdd the icons would change to the ? icon, this doesnt seem to be the case anymore, is it because once the icon is loaded it is stored in winstep library now?

if so i could change the icon in the subdock, and if the icons location changes will it still be in winsteps icon library?
