I've noticed with some frequency that if I click the task bar's rightmost arrow button, which collapses the task bar to the left of the screen, a button will be left behind and still active. I *think* this button is the one that expands the sys tray icon list.

It doesn't always happen, and I haven't figured out the exact sequence of steps yet, but it happens on both my work computer and home computer. I'm using the Brisa theme, if that makes any difference.

That "button" is to uncollapse the taskbar.

Chris, you're right. Burt reported this bug as well in the Beta Software Discussion forum - it will be fixed for next release.

It is the button that opens and collapses the systray icons and I've noticed this myself, rarely (as well as collapsing the bar leaving the systray icons where they would be uncollapsed and the rest of the bar collapsed); but, it hasn't happened since I "settled in" some on what theme I wanted and mildy curbed intensively playing around with how the WsX config(s) work.

Also, when it happened if I collapsed and reopened and collapsed the NS StartBar it went away (which is why I rebooted the machine and defraged the drive)

For my system that suggested that the problem I experienced may be a system memory/resource/video refresh issue more than a WsX bug.

I hope you will find, once you settle in on and stabalize your WsX layouot/config/behavior for your desktop, that a fresh reboot cures this.

You might also want to monitor your available memory, hard drive access and cpu utilization level(s) during the event and try a theme change (I'm currently using scarebear's excellent Recur Mini Theme).

Much like high end computer games (WOW, SWG, RyZOM, etc.), video specs. play a huge roll in theming performance.

Hope this overview helps some.
