I use GanttProject for project management. It is an open source Java application that can be found here: http://ganttproject.biz/

When GanttProject is running Winstep fights with it. Ganttproject is always made to be first in the Z-order. So Any popup windows from GanttProject is sent behind the main window as well as any other application that I want to use at the time while GantProject is running and not minimized. This behavior happens on a timed cycle, about every 2-3 seconds so I'm guessing it has to do with a scanning/painting processes used by NS or WS.


I'm running the latest version of Java from Sun and GanttProject 2.0.4.

Ok, try adding the GrantProject task to the snapshot exclusion list. My guess is that this will fix the problem - but let me know how it went please.

Ah, question, if you right click on any task on the NextSTART tasklist and select 'Customize Tasks', in the Snapshot Exclusion List section of the dialog that pops up, what exactly is GantProject listed as?

GanttProject and it's a Window Title. The .exe Didn't work so I used the window title.
