Hello, I bought this amazing dock few days ago and would like have some advice from some more skilled people :

    - I would like to parse a folder when mouseovering, going to sub-folder and open a document or a folder. I found the option for mouseover and dot it without long pressing left click but when I am clicking on a non final-folder I can't open it as a folder (I know I can rightclicking, select open and click on it but I would like to do it without any contextual menu). Any suggestion ?

    - I also try to it as grid stack but I am stuck with the same issue

    - Is it possible to create dynamically a subdock with a folder content ?

    - Is it possible to have a drawer on left with the tab writing horizontally ?

    - When mouseovering sub folder I hear some bip and experince an abrupt closing from nexus. I guess it's due to a cache overflow or a memory error. Anyone have the same issue ?

Sorry for english mistake, french people aren't know for they english skill and unfortunally I am not an expection

Well, British people are almost notoriously poor in foreign language skills, and you're not doing too badly really. :) My own command of French is as that of a Spanish cow. ;) Well, almost.

I've numbered your queries to make it simpler to answer them. I'll try, where I can answer them, so here goes.

1) I'm afraid I'm on thin ground here as I never use folders in the dock myself, keeping them on the shelf or in menus, and on grid stacks. That said, I don't think it's possible to do it as you would like. However, maybe someone knows better here while we're all waiting for Jorge, the sole proprietor/coder of Winstep and admin of this board to grace us with his presence again and to resume support as and where necessary. :)

2) Personally, I have folders on grid stacks set to open as another grid stack - works fine here.

3) Not as far as I'm aware, sorry. But then, again note that I don't ever use folders on docks.

4) No, not possible I'm afraid is the short and definitive answer to that.

5) As far as I'm aware, this has never been mentioned by anyone.

I'm sorry my answers could not be more positive or extensive, but we moderators of this board are unpaid volunteers not associated with Winstep, just experienced long term users and beta testers of the apps trying our best in our spare time to help out when and where we can while also trying to keep order and keep the spammers out. :)

Thanks for your kind answers (even if they aren't the one expected  )

I will try to go with grid stack folder opening an other grid stack. I'm only worried about the fact I can't open a non-leaf folder as a folder witjout right clicking. I think it's more easier to do some action (like selecting multiple file) in a folder instead of a grid stack.

For the crash maybe it's due to my lack of graphic card (previous one unexpectly die a few days ago. I will see if a new one solve my issue... if someday price of new RTX card come back to their original price  )

It's always a pleasure to be able to help even if only in a small way, so you are very welcome. We do whatever we can when we can. :)

The crash issue does seem a strange one, hope it resolves itself.

Bon chance!

Hmmm, that sounds like a problem I ran into earlier this year. Read this thread I started almost 5 months ago. It's possible that it can help you figure out why you're getting that beeping sound. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11710
