I'm trying to set my systray background to say solid black but when I enable the systray background and set it to solid black.. nothing happens.

What have I missed.

Are you using a Startbar? The systray background is NOT applied to a floating systray.

Well, yesterday, before replying to you, I tried it here with Aero LowRes to make sure the solid color systray background options was working and it was...

What theme are you using? Does the startbar have a PNG bitmap background or is it something else?

Sorry, I was not clear. I'm not using startbar. And yes I confirmed it works as expected with the startbar. If I float the tray, no dice.

So here is what I was trying to do. Since my systray is a visual mess do to issues with systray icons, etc. I was trying to change the background of the systray wihout enabling transparant background. Even with startbar, this isn't posible, You get the windows default color layed on top of the startbar background if you have transparancy off.

Sigh.
