Hi.
I first want to thank Jorge for the amazing software. I pass the free version around to my clients. From time to time I hear back from some of them that they have purchased the full version.

I've noticed a couple of bugs and I want to know if I am alone or has someone else experienced the same thing.

(maybe) bug#1 : When using a touch screen it is difficult to tap on an icon that turns into a stack, ie: show folder in menu. It seems to treat the tap as a double click. The stack quickly opens then closes. In the mean time I am using a program called Stacky.exe found on github. It avoids the problem and seems to work well with touch screens. I can post a video 'proof of concept' if anyone wishes.

(maybe) bug#2 : This is a new one to me, but I'm starting to see it show up on only two or three computers so far. When clicking on either the RAM or the CPU module, when it brings up the task manager in windows 11, the charts are broken. They don't show. To fix this I must close the nexus dock then reopen it and the problem goes away.
I tried a fresh install of the nexus dock, new hard drive, fresh install of windows 11. It does the same thing. I tried changing the video card, etc and it did the same thing. When I run the taskmgr.exe directly it works fine. It only glitches if run from the RAM and CPU modules.
Also I noticed that even though the taskmgr.exe is set to run in dark mode, I can see the glitch is going to happen because the nexus dock opens in a light mode, then it glitches. When I close then reopen Nexus, the problem immediately goes away. Task Manager then starts in dark mode. The problem only comes back after a reboot.

If no one else sees this then I'll just consider it an anomaly and just deal with it.

Those are not really bugs in the Winstep application.

Winstep applications were never coded with touch screens in mind, but mouse and keyboard - the general idea with touch screens is that the finger is in most occasions able to replace the mouse pointer seamlessly (from the POV of the application) but it doesn't always work that way.

Anyway, a tap is supposed to be a single click. For some reason it seems to be being interpreted as a double click there, but this is in no way the fault of the Winstep application, since it is Windows itself that is doing the "translation" between touch and mouse clicks.

Perhaps you can try adjusting some timing settings related to touch on your system?

As for the second issue, again, not directly the fault of the Winstep application. I have no idea why that is happening there (it certainly never happened here in Windows 11) but all double clicking the meter modules does is make the Winstep application tell Windows to LAUNCH the Windows Task Manager application. What happens after that is Windows responsibility.

Anyway, is anyone else seeing this?

Hello Jorge.
Your explanation is clear, thank-you for your response.

Now that I understand that these are not bugs in the Nexus software I am satisfied with finding other solutions.

The touch problem went away when I launched a Stacky.exe (GitHub) to bring up all my shortcuts, so that is no longer an issue for me.

I worked on that odd task manager (windows glitch) this morning. I found a way around it by installing a program called taskmgr_w10_for_w11. The issue disappeared. So it seems the issue is only with the windows 11 task manager, and it is a rare problem.

I cannot replicate the glitch on any of my other machines so I will forget about it for now, unless I see it again.

Thank-you again Jorge. You are awesome. 8)
