I am using Nexus Ultimate 24.4. In Dock Properties--> Content--> System Tray--> I checked
* Show system tray in this dock
* Group system tray icons
* Always show all system tray icons (Icon shows up when unchecked)
But when I click on the System tray expand button on the dock, I do not see my system tray icons, even though, they are checked to on in my Windows 11 Taskbar personalization option. Why can't my taskbar icons show up when I click on the system tray expand button?
I am using Windows 11 Pro 23H2.
Thanks in advance for your help.

A search of the forum should most likely show you that your issue has been dealt with already.

It's Win 11 - what do you expect? :P

Nexter is correct. I posted a possible solution to your problem back in May. Here is what worked for me and one other poster.

"I discovered this by accident today. I had several programs that were not showing in the system tray overflow area. All of these items were set to "On" in the Windows 11 "taskbar/personalization/other system tray icons" settings. When I switched them to off they became visible in the overflow area again. Checking "Show system tray in this dock" added the system tray to my dock with access to the overflow area and the missing icons. I am using Winstep Xtreme 24.4 on Windows 11 23H2."

I hope it solves your problem.

Hello NEZBIT:
Thanks a lot for your response. I followed what you did by turning off all the icons in the other system tray icons in Personalization > Taskbar; please see below in the image. I also checked Show system tray in this dock inside the content tab of dock properties. I still do not see my system tray icons in the overflow area. Do I need to do anything in the Customize Tray Icons area shown below? I only see Windows Explorer.
Thanks

I don't think you understand.

Microsoft broke systray customization starting with Windows 11 22H2 - you are not going to be able to display system tray icons on the dock, much less customize those icons.

For the moment the only workaround is a special icon (white cog icon) that allows the Winstep application to display the system tray overflow area when clicked on.

Hello Jorge:
Thanks a lot for your response. But when I click on the white clog icon, I do not see the system tray overflow area. Do I have to change options in the advance settings?

Unfortunately I wiped my Windows 11 drive a while back and I am only running Windows 10 now, so I can't check my settings. The only thing that you mentioned that I believe was different on my system, was I had "Enable tray icon customization" unchecked, and under Windows 11 "Personalization > Taskbar, "Hidden icon menu" was set to on. I think turning the Hidden Icon Menu on may be the answer.

I can confirm that I was able to see all my system tray icons in the overflow area, and show the system tray on my dock using Winstep Xtreme 24.4 on Windows 11 23H2. It took quite a while before I was able to make it happen and its possible that I may have changed some other setting. I was also running Start 11 and WindowBlinds 11. They can modify the taskbar and Widows explorer so that may have had an effect also.

What happens when you click the white clog icon then?

Anyway, also make sure the 'Always show all system tray icons' setting is DISABLED in the Winstep application:
