Having trouble checking mail on Outlook and Gmail recently. It was ok before that. Is there a way to fix this issue. Using the latest update or Nexus Ultimate on Windows 10.

And just what makes you think that this could be Nexus related? More probably than not this is a Windows issue, or Outlook/Gmail.

At least with my outlook account it was ok when I purchased it around July but stopped working until about a month ago. Not that know how things work. Could it be because Microsoft updated login protocols or something?

With Mirkosoft just about anything is possible, especially with Win 11 and with Outlook the great data harvester. So I wouldn't be surprised. Similarly for Gmail - quite possible they changed things yet again.

Yes. Google did the same with Gmail some time ago.

We can no longer use POP3 with the username/password combo to login to our email accounts. Now we must use OAUTH and crap like that in the name of "security".

This change affected many thousands of users worldwide who can no longer use their favorite email clients (because they do not support OAUTH) or even POP3, but since they are not corporate users Microsoft does not seem to care.

Even I am having serious issues with my personal email account that was unfortunately migrated to Outlook.com many years ago by my ISP.

Does this mean email checker will no longer work in Nexus, Winstep? Any chance a future update could solve this issue?

I've been looking into this ever since Google decided to do the same with Gmail, but adding AUTH authentication to an app seems to be a complicated process that I don't understand properly, besides being a bit beyond the scope of what should be a simple widget such as the Email Checker module.
