hi, Ive encountered an issue that prevents the dock from staying on screen after pressing win+d even if i have the option to keep it on screen checked. Im not sure when exactly this option stopped working for me but it might have been after updating to windows 24h2. I have another pc with windows 22h2 and there it works properly.

Ive already tried the basic troubleshooting like reinstalling, rebooting, etc.

I think you answered your own question: 24H2 is a buggy mess.

The way Microsoft is being run these days, even installing Windows Updates is a risky proposition (keep in mind Microsoft is a company that fired their entire QA department a few years ago and currently thinks that RAD - Rapid Application Development - is a good idea for an OS).

Because of this being one of the first to jump into a major Windows revision such 24H2 is basically asking for trouble, as you just found out. Worse, Windows Update has not yet offered 24H2 here on my production system so I can't even try to diagnose these issues (i.e.; I am still on 23H2).

Windows 11 - in any way, shape, or form - surely is little more than a beta anyway. To then go with any updates less than a year or at best six months old is just asking for trouble. And yes, indeed, MS is using its users for 'QA'.

Even in the NT4 to XP era, received wisdom used to be to wait with updates, as they usually tended to introduce new problems/bugs while fixing any old ones.

I am now well on my way to phasing out Windows (10) almost altogether except a very small partition to be used offline only. So I'll blissfully run my main OS Linux 99% of the time.
