Hello

is it possible to sort entries in a Grid Stack in Nexus Ultimate?

I can sort it by name, art, date, acending and decending.
But this is not what I want. I want to sort it the way I want.

Thanks for any tip.

Andreas

Those are the options available for 'Folder' type Grid Stacks (which act like a 'window' into real folders and files).

To do what you want, create a Grid Stack of "Regular" type instead of one that points to a folder.

Now populate that Grid Stack with the items you want via drag & drop (note that the items in this type of Grid Stack will be *shortcuts* to the real files, not the actual files). You can re-arrange items in Regular type Grid Stacks whichever way you want via drag & drop.

thanks, but this way is very inconvenient.

I have for every topic a folder in which I have all links I want to see in the grid stack. And if I want to assign a link to another topic, I simply move it to that topic's folder. I can also assign new links very quickly in this way. If I were to do this using the “Regular” type, I would have to make every change manually.

You can do exactly the same using Regular Grid Stacks.

Instead of storing links/shortcuts in folders and then pointing folder-type Grid Stacks at those folders, just add those links to the Regular type Grid Stacks directly and from then on use the Grid Stacks rather than the folders.

You can drag the links you already have all at once: create a blank Regular Grid Stack, open the folder with the links you want to add to that Grid Stack in Explorer, select all the items in that folder and drag them to the Grid Stack icon - after a short pause the Grid Stack will open automatically and you can drop all those links into it. Then you can manually sort the items in that Grid Stack whichever way you want.

You can also transfer links from one Grid Stack to another via drag & drop just like you currently do with the folders.

OK, thanks, that works. But the trick is the "pause" before dropping the links and a very precise positioning before. Otherwise it does not work.

and what I also just find out is, that from some links the icon does not work in the grid stack anymore. In the Windows explorer the icon looks fine and in the grid stack there is just a blanck icon.
