I'm dragging items from the shelf to the Recycler on the dock. I get the 'remove item' popup, click yes, but the item is not deleted and stays on the shelf.

I'm running the latest version of Windows 11.

I have searched the forum but haven't found a solution.

Please advise. Thanks.

Ok, just tried it here (dragging an item from the shelf to a recycler module on the same tab and dragging an item from the shelf to a recycler module on a dock) and it is working as intended, so it must be something specific.

What is the type of the tab you are dragging the item from?

When you drag the item to the Recycler in the dock, does the shelf close/collapse before the item is dropped?

Please try to describe what you are doing and what happens in as much detail as possible (since this is obviously a case where the devil is in the details :D )

Yes, only installed yesterday and getting acquainted with it.

1. Open Shelf -open the Apps tab - select 'Get Started' for deletion/removal

2. Drag 'Get Started' up to Recycler.

3. Drop 'Get Started' into Recycler and click 'Yes' in 'Remove item' popup.

4. 'Get Started' is not deleted/removed.

Ah, gotcha.

The Apps tab is a "special" tab that enumerates and shows the installed UWP Apps on your PC. For convenience you can drag and drop items from that tab into other locations, but those apps cannot be deleted by dragging them to the Recycle Bin. They are not files, they are Apps.

You will have to uninstall them using the proper method, i.e.; via Windows Settings -> Apps -> Installed Apps

By the way, thanks for the screenshots - and FYI I just fixed the UWP apps white paper icons (caused by last month's Windows Update) for next release.
