Hi,

I have a Nexus Ultimate subscription.

I currently have a Winstep Popup open on my desktop, asking if I want to `Download and Install` "Nexus v.26.4.1236".

I don't know what to do -- and the REASON I don't know what to do is that Winstep keeps sending updates for versions other than the Nexus Ultimate version I have a subscription for.

For instance, awhile ago I clicked on a Winstep Popup like the one above and Winstep installed Nexus Extreme on my machine. It lodged itself in my Start Menu, ran when it finished installing, and messed my Nexus Ultimate setup.

In addition, although both the Ultimate and Extreme version were in my Start Menu, along with another app labelled "Nexus", my System Settings > Apps dropdown offers a single option to uninstall Nexus.

So I guess my issue breaks down into 4 parts.

1. How can I stop Winstep from sending updates for versions other than Nexus Ultimate?

2. Is there some way to uninstall different versions of Nexus individually?

3. Which of the items in my Start Menu > Winstep folder belong to Nexus Ultimate, and which are for some other version? (see "Start Menu -> Winstep Folder contents" below)?

4. Should I click the 'Download and Install' button on the Winstep Popup currently open on my desktop? (and what will get installed if I do?)

UPDATE: Well, I guess Nexus Extreme is still around. It's now generating Popups telling me I have been using it for 298 days and need to register.

Yeah, that is what happens when you have

Nexus free
Nexus Ultimate
Winstep Xtreme

all installed at the same time.

Those are 3 individual applications, but they are all a natural progression of the same thing.

Anyway, you are a registered Nexus Ultimate user, so here is what you should do:

1. Go to the Details tab of the Windows Task Manager. Kill (right click on the process and select 'End task') NeXuS.exe, WorkShelf.exe and NextStart.exe if you find them there.

2. Go to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Winstep\

and delete

NeXuS.exe
WorkShelf.exe
NextStart.exe

There. You should now be running only Nexus Ultimate and shouldn't be bothered again by prompts to update the other applications.
