Anyone have any idea on how to use this with Outlook/Hotmail/Live accounts?

In theory it was possible in a similar way using App Passwords, but it seems Microsoft deprecated those for personal Outlook.com accounts.

I know me and a friend (who do not have @outlook.com email addresses but have personal email addresses hosted at Outlook.com because our ISP migrated them to Microsoft, curse that day!) tried but neither him nor me managed to make it work.

A lot of pretty stupid crap is being done in the name of "security".

There is also THIS EA Oauth Service, but I have no idea if it works or not, never tried it.

I setup gmail with imap according to the instructions and even set up an "app password" in gmail. Now it says "Too many arguments provided".

Any ideas?

The App Password generated by Google will contain spaces between some of the characters. You have to delete the spaces and then paste that into the password field of the Email Checker. Then, it works fine - even for IMAP.

Jorge, I am pretty sure I'm not a bot and I'm getting the same message. In the Email Checker Settings I have

Account Name: [my email address] (firstname.lastname@gmail.com)
Server Type: IMAP Port: 993
IMAP Server: imap.gmail.com
Login Name: [same as account name]
Password: [the 16-digit app password I generated and named "Email Checker" on Google]
Requires SSL is checked
Include this account when checking is checked

Last response was BAD Too many arguments provided 41be03b00d2f7-b6cdac3baadmb217059414a12
