I have several of my folders labeled with Chinese characters however Winstep seems to be incompatible with displaying them. I have the Chinese Mandarin (Simplified) language pack (WinVista Ultimate) installed. Winstep displays links to the folders as well as Chinese labeled windows open on the taskbar as (???). This prevents me from putting links to folders on my objectdock, as the link immediately changes from E:\(Chinese chars); to E:\???. Is there any way around this other than renaming the folders in pinyin/English? Thank you for any help.

Unfortunately Winstep Xtreme uses ANSI instead of Unicode to display characters. In practice this means it would only be able to display Chinese characters on native Chinese systems - language packs are not the same. Sorry. :(
