With the install of 8.2 NS now has a mind of its own.
It's opening submenus when the mouse hovers over a selection.
It doesn't do it on all just mostly with the first submenu the mouse
pointer encounters.

I bring up NS, move the mouse down to Programs and the submenu
opens automatically.
Now, if I'm able to click on a submenu before it has a chance to act
it will sometimes still open another submenu anyway.
Also noticed a delay in highlighting of the submenu it opens on its
own as opposed to instant marking if I click on a menu myself.

As I type this I'm checking around and found this also just happened
with NeXuS' menu. I right click the NX icon, move the mouse over to
the first submenu, it opens automagically, and then another opens.

Menu Auto Dropdown settings haven't changed (disabled).

This just adds to my long suffering of the overactive NS menu
not staying down when I click the X button. :?

BTW, for a very long time now (couple of years - time flies) I've been
just installing updates and betas over my original (pre-Xtreme)
installation. Me thinks maybe it's time I start anew. There just might
be some cruft lying around, on disk or in the registry.

Marc

Hey Marc, you're right, it's apparently a bug in the spring folders routine.

Shame nobody noticed it until the official version was out. Sigh.

I made it up to Beta 5 (no menu problems) but was offline for about
a week or so. I saw the Beta 7 post probably just a few hours before
you released the final version.

Missed it by that much. :)
